Even though I work hard this year, I have no idea if Iāll get in or not. Thereās no way for me to tell, as admissions can be unpredictable. However, I wanted to see what other people think, and see what will happen. Wish everyone Best of Luck.
Your stats and experience seems awfully impressive to me. I would admit you ā¦ in a heartbeat! Good luck!
lol you are so kind. Thx. Wish you best of luck!
Iāve been reading through some of the posts in this thread, and USC is my top choice in terms of the places I applied to to transfer, so I figured Iād drop my current stats (is that the right phrase for it?).
Current year: Freshman
Major: Currently undeclared, but I applied to the Comparative Literature program and I want to apply to SCA next year if I get in so I can minor in film production.
GPA: 4.0 from a California community college
Credits: Iāll have 55 by the end of the summer
Other schools I applied to: Pepperdine (rejected), University of Michigan (didnāt realize they only accepted junior level transfers), Stanford (still waiting), Harvard (still waiting).
Extra: Iām in my collegeās Honors Program, I recieved an invitation to Phi Theta Kappa earlier on in this semester, Iāve been working through USCās general education requirements and will have more than half of them completed by fall of 2022, I want to walk onto USCās womenās swim team (or the team wherever I get in) for the 2022/2023 season.
Anyway, thatās all Iāve got. I donāt think my answers to the application questions ended up being that strong, so Iām a little worried about that (I think it was kind of a subconscious thing and I may have actually undershared), but I can always reapply next year and Iām kind of holding out hope for spring admittance.
You look like a competitive applicant. I think the extracurricular and school involvement are what you are mostly missing(but thatās not a reason to get ejected). Did you applied to any UCās(Some offer sophomore level transfers)?
Any comm majors?
Oh yeah, I definitely agree Iām missing some extracurricular activities on my apps. Pretty much all my classes have been online so far and Iām from the place my school is located anyway, so itās kind that Iāve had some issues getting myself to go hang out on campus instead of just studying at home, but if Iām not accepted anywhere Iāve applied, Iāll certainly be working to change that next year. And I didnāt actually apply to any UCs this cycle, but UCLA will almost definitely be tied with USC for my top choice if I have to send in apps for the 23/24 application cycle.
Definitely keep that growth mindset. Transferring to another school is never easy, but itās not impossible. Do your own research, and find opportunities that you actually find joyful yet beneficial. If you want it, stay motivated and work hard. Wish you best of luck
repost this in the USC stats and decisions thread too

Lol ok. I will
Dear Fann,
Can you provide more information for Viterbi TTP? D got denied as freshman but got invitation for transfer program. Thanks
Does anyone have an idea when the decisions would be out? Also, I was wondering what the acceptance rate for a Trojan transfer applicant is?
hey iām a lurker in this thread and just had a couple questions! I was a spring admit for the current 4-year Iām attending and during my gap semester, I worked a 40 hour (a week) job and took 15 credits making me a full time student. but because of this, I finished with a lower gpa. how much will USC consider the impact of being a full-time student and working a full-time job. also, I know that USC only considers gpa for classes that are transferable for credits. I got a lower grade in a class that is not transferable, but it is on my transcript. will it be considered when my app is evaluated?
