2022-2023 USC Transfer

The question everyone wants the answer to! Unfortunately, only admissions knows. “By May 31” is the official word. And while they do publish a “Transfer Student Profile” (last year’s is here: Transfer Profile by USC Enrollment Services - Issuu) they don’t distinguish between TTP applicants and other transfers applicants, so I’m not sure where you would find that answer.

My “guess” based on last year’s release is Friday, May 27. But no one knows for sure!

Gotta be before the UC’s require commitment deposits 30 days after offered by next Friday April 22?

Says online for transfers by June 1. So DS has May 1 deposit for UC we will have to say bye bye to if he gets into USC!

Last year, USC starting rolling out admissions 4/23. Could we possibly hear back this week?

Abbsolutely. Transfer notifications keep moving out later each year, just 5 years ago, some TTP heard end of March and many transfers heard by mid-April. Then it started sliding further out (guessing covid didn’t help).

So yes, I would think there should be some news this week, but they are in charge. The cycle tends to be some transfers and TTP flat out accepted, followed by SGRs, followed by angst for many still waiting, then a ton at end of May. So there should be some acceptance this week or next, but again - they da boss.

Past TTP decision rolled out on Apr 12(Wed) in 2019, Apr 15(Fri) in 2020, Apr 23(Fri) in 2021 according to the same topic in the past. Pushing back a week year by year. So it could be either 22nd or 29th, or even tomorrow(Wed) : )

In each of those years, some TTPs heard earlier than that. Plenty of people don’t post (or choose to DM about it instead of posting) so sites only tend to pick up on the big rollouts. But every year there are a some that occur before the dates on here. Also not worth posting as it just gives others more anxiety and there is enough of that!

Good luck all and be prepared to wait till end of May - so you don’t lose your mind and if you find out earlier - bonus!

Hi, I apologize for the late response. I’m not entirely clear about the process since it was my sister who transferred into Viterbi while I transferred into Marshall, but I believe she transferred in with around a 3.8 gpa. She was worried about her grades in the fall but was able to improve them in the spring. We were both part of the Trojan Transfer Plan but she didn’t receive her acceptance until a few weeks before the start of the fall semester whereas I heard back around this time last year so it really shows you how varied the experience can be.

TTP DS just received an admission letter to USC/Marshall. Attending community college with 15 units last semester and 16 units currently. Good luck to you all.

If you are not TTP, is it super hard to get in as a traditional transfer?

Do you know what schools they went to?

hey guys I am applying to Marshall from Villanova Business School with a 3.89 GPA. Not TTP and not legacy. Anyone know how hard it is to get in OOS?

Also junior year transfer if that matters

Top 30 university with a 3.9, but no legacy and no TTP.
