2022 Fall Stanford Transfer Thread

I applied! Decisions come out tomorrow hopefully!

I take it Stanford is not coming out today? Did anyone receive their decision yet?

Nothing on my end, speculating next week if 8pm EST rolls around and it’s crickets

Want to ask the same question! Can anyone send the link of the transfer discord group?

Expired, you need to go into the settings to change your links to never expire.

Guys tomorrow at 4pm pacific time confirmed at the Stanford website

I did not

Do you mean your mailing addresses? Is this a difference someone has spotted in the portal astrology?

Congrats!!! Could you possibly share your stats or advice? I’m planning on applying next year

My advice would be to really try and express your personality. Every successful applicant will have an amazing GPA and extracurriculars, you need to show why you are excited to apply, what you are excited to study, and who you are.

I did my Stanford application by cannibalizing my others in less than an hour at 11 pm the night it was due because I had one fee waiver left, doing the short answers quickly and in a way that I thought was funny and showed who I was.

Obviously, I don’t recommend that, but I have only really been accepted to the top schools that I have when I did my application in a way that showcased who I was. I have been rejected by many that I tried too hard on.

For reference, I am a non-traditional CC student in the midwest but spent most of my time so far on the east coast. I dropped out of high school and flunked out of my first go at community college when I was 17 due to personal issues. I worked hard for years and when the pandemic hit I decided to go back to school, did really well, put a lot of effort into my college community/extracurricular activities, and made sure I interned in government before I applied anywhere (government concentrator).

In short, don’t think too hard about it–you will do fine no matter where you go–and make sure you shine through!

Good luck!
