21-122 Integration, Differential Equations, and Approximation

Does anybody know anything about it?
I was put into this and the course description sounds a bit intimidating. I only took AB and didn't even get a 5 on it (i got a 4)

I don't know why I was placed in this class... should I switch it?

If you think you should go lower you could always take 21-120....I mean I'm sure there is a bit of review in the beginning and they base placements on your test results but if you think it will be too hard then I guess it would be best to drop down...I'm taking 21-120 (I think, it is the course before that one in that sequence). I took AB but I forgot a lot of stuff and didn't do super well on the placement exam... If you decide to change it might be a good idea to contact your advisor soon. Keep in mind that you aren't supposed to know the stuff listed in the descripton....to really gauge if you should be in the class you should look at the 21-120 description and see if you know all of those terms and theorems. Even though I didn't do as well as you on the AP I still recognise most all of the things in 21-120 and to be honest it looks like it will be mostly what I learned in the second half of AP calc + a little more integration. I am really weak on integration though since we didn't go that in depth in class so that's how it goes. Having said that I feel that I could probably even go into 21-122 if I took a good week or two to review and learn more integration stuff just because I remember doing 90+% of the stuff in the 21-120 description in class.

The thing about the math placement test that I didn't really like was how they didn't have any questions on the different approximation tests (I forgot the exact name, but basically "LCT"--limit comparison test--"DCT"--direct comparison test, etc.) I'm rusty on those types of things, and the placement test didn't really reflect any of that material, especially since it's on the AP Calc BC exam (and course).
