I think I'd want to wait until the 15th, or the afternoon of the 14th at the earliest. If I get my rejection on the 12th or 13th, I'll be in a pretty crappy mood at school/work and it'll probably affect my performance, so why get worked up about something sooner than I have to be.

Why not think positively ?? If you get accepted on the 12th or 13th, then you'll be in a pretty happy mood at school/work and it'll probably affect your performance in a positive manner ^_______^

You're right, I should think positively. A string of bad events this year have turned me into a cynic. But hey, who knows, this could be the beginning of an upward trend this year.

if i get rejected, will tighten my fist, grin, and continue on with life.
if I get accepted, I will punch the air a million times, and yell at my dad for proving him wrong.

Good luck everyone! I remember how I was excited I was to check decisions last year too (albeit RD, meaning I had to wait 4 months longer than you guys)!

Geez, people! You must all believe in the will of Jashin-sama. He is the one who directs all. It's because of Jashin's greatness that you all function. Believe in the God of Jashin and he will show you the way! For now, you must all remain emotionless, like Jashin-sama himself. Whatever happens, happens. Whetehr you get into Stanford or not relies in his hand. So pray to him

wow alohasam89 congrats on starting this long thread of fellow nerds that are freaking out about stanford.

when i get the email, im going to purposefully not open the message and write a page on how i felt at that exact moment and post it on this forum. and only then will i click the email and find out.

thatd be really cool if a bunch of people would post their little essays/rants and then post if they got accepted or rejected after the checked it.
