I graduated highschool in 2005 with a 3.0. I then attended one of the worst career schools known to man, I atteneded till around march/april 2006. I currently have twins and work partime. I would like to know if I qualify as a Non T,raditional Student or a Freshmen Transfer? ( I have 10 credits.) I reside in Georgia and thinking of apply for the spring 2011 semester to the following schools, GEORGIA PERIMETER COLLEGE, GEORGIA STATE, KENNESAW STATE.
Does anyone know their admissions criteria?
Ah, the magic of the internet. It took me all of 4 seconds to find the following page on a search engine:
[Undergraduate</a> Admissions — Georgia State University](<a href=“http://www.gsu.edu/admissions/]Undergraduate”>http://www.gsu.edu/admissions/)
That page has detailed definitions of who is a transfer vs. non-traditional and first-time freshman. You need to do this process for each college separately since each will define these terms in their own way. You may also need to figure out if your career school units are considered coming from a “regionally accredited” school or not in terms of figuring out if those 10 credits are even considered “college” credits or not.
So go do some legwork on their websites–and if you hit a snag, then call or email the admissions office with any detail that isn’t explained already on their website.
Good luck.
