2235 SSAT is 96th percentile total?

I just read where someone scored a 2235 SSAT and received a total percentile score of the 96th percentile.

My daughter got the exact same score (2235) but scored in the 93rd total percentile. Does anyone know why one percentile was higher than the other with the exact same score?

Thanks

Could be a different grade level. Same tests are given to more than one grade level and the percentile varies depending on whether the student is in a higher or lower grade.

Or different sex - girls are compared to girls, and boys to boys

I didn't mention gender because for the same score, girls are in a higher percentile. that's not the case here.
