I went over my test, and I got 2 cr wrong cause I didn't completely read the answer choice. That keeps happening to me, no matter what. I have to ingrain it into my head to read the ENTIRE answer, not just the first half. I also made 2-3 careless writing mistakes....

I took a practice test (for the heck of it...it's been such an empty weekend), and I missed two questions which CB calls easy. Haha, just my luck... I seem to have a knack for missing only the easy parts of each exam! XD

I wish we all had that problem ;)

I actually think missing easier ones are harder than missing medium/hard ones, because it's my nature to gloss over the easy ones when double checking...or even when I DO bother to double check, I think my answers are correct no matter what, because HECK they're EASY, right?!

Guhh....I need writing improvement! I need to get down to 1-2 wrong, and I am constantly getting 6 wrong (got 6 wrong in march as well). Its a combination of careless mistakes and such....Some questions just stump me.

good luck. i hope u reach your goal =] i need a 2200+ for the December SAT

i cant believe you get days off for school before the SAT...i have a 16 page essay due 2 days before the SAT and two major tests the day before. Being from Canada sucks

I can't imagine being let out for the SAT... the teachers wouldn't even laugh if I asked... especially my Calc teacher.

No no, I don't have off for the SAT lol, I have for the Jewish Holiday Rosh Shahana. It just coincides that they are close :)

I just did a Critical Analysis of the writing questions I got wrong throughout the past 5 tests, and this is what I came up with.

My main errors were
1- Plural/Singular
2- Tense Errors
3- Pronoun Errors
4- No errors (lol...)
5- Has/have (can anyone explain this? When to use which one...)
6- Idiom

Anyone have any advice as to how to improve those errors? Those are the only ones I am getting wrong.

Yep, shoot for 0 wrong and you'll be closer to your goal.

I have
You have
He/she/it has
We have
You have
They have

ah, the <sarcasm> joys </sarcasm> of english conjugation

:0 Off to school, then back to testing.

Gonna take a sat soon, but atm I am reviewing vocab and writing. My next test, I hope to get max 2 writing wrong and 4 cr. ;)

Just took the January 2008 QAS:
Math - 6x - 650
CR - 4x - 750
Wr - 7x - 700 - 720

I don't know whats going on with writing. I got 4 out of the 7 wrong because I found a error that wasn't there. Anyone have any advice on as to how to find no errors? They seem to be my biggest down fall atm. On a happier note, I made my goal (almost) on CR.

the funny thing is that wenever i take the writing section..the third question is usually the one with no error..only 20 % of da questions have no error..idk if that helps..but just practice..that wroked for me

it seems that if I solve that problem, I should get high 700's.

^Getting 7 wrong on the grammar can still be a low 700?
Don't rely too much on the essay - I think the multiple choice is probably the most important, since if you miss 0-2 and get like an 8-10 essay it would still be a high 700.

Shiomi, your a grammar superstar, could you give me some tips to help me? I really need that high 700...

Haha, I wish I was a grammar superstar, but I've never gotten a perfect MC on my practice tests.
But good luck with the grammar, maybe you're just overworking yourself. You do a test a day right?

Well I dunno if it's just me, but after I do a full test simulation I feel sick of doing problems for the next two days, which is why I don't really plan on doing any practice tests on thursday or friday. Even today, I'm just doing my last practice test section by section with breaks so I don't exhaust my "testing" reserves?..

I don't know if this philosophy works hahah, but we'll see...

Yea, I am not doing any on Thursday or friday. How many do you get wrong? Do you have any advice as to what I should do over the next 2 days to improve my writing MC score?
