2330 SAT, perfect math
3.26 UW GPA
97 weighted

Preferred majors: Biochem, Chem, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science. I am pre-dental.

I know the GPAs are on different scales, but that's all I have and my school doesn't convert between the two. It annoys me too.

I thought I would be fine going to UAH but I just saw the thread about the full ride getting pulled and I'm so mad. I need other schools to consider...

I already applied to:

UA, where I don't even qualify for scholarships
UAB, where I think I'm getting 15k and hopefully some engineering money
University of South Carolina
Drexel
Tulane

My parents can give me 10k a year but that's it. We make a lot of money and I will not qualify for much FA if any at all anywhere.

I have no idea what to do.

tharmals - Please take a look at the other schools listed in the UAH memorial thread. There are a half dozen or so that still offer full ride scholarships. Don’t know whether you’d qualify, but you can find that out by checking the school websites or simply by looking at BobWallace’s most recent post (#164) here:

UA, where I don’t even qualify for scholarships

If your weighted GPA of 97 is on your transcript then you DO qualify for a full tuition scholarship at Alabama if you applied before Dec 1st.

Are you the same student that I told to contact your area rep? What happened?

Are you the student whose GC kept wrongly calculating your GPA? a 97 is a 4.0. If your GC can’t calculate it right, then have her leave it as a 97 on your transcript and Bama will calculate it as a 4.0.

Sent you a PM. But yes, haha. Rep never got back to me.

How did you contact your rep? Did you use his/her direct email acct or did you use the link on the school’s website? What is your rep’s name?
