Sorry, I shouldn’t have been so flip. I missed the part about having to pay a lot yourself. Those scores are excellent and you could likely qualify for substantial aid, even full scholarships, at many schools. I hope you have some financial safeties on your list. Good luck. Stop testing.

Thank you guys very much! I have 2 friends who have told me to retake the ACT, but I’m still thinking about it; I’d much rather stop testing and pursue my passions.

delete this stupid thread, stop trying to make everyone feel bad about themselves! you already have a damn 2350 on your SAT and there is no need to retake the ACT. Its cause of people like you that people get depressed when they get low scores because of your selfishness

Sanguinee, Actsat2400 - Why are you people so rude?? Do you honestly think that the OP posted with the purpose of making others feel bad?? Why be so rude with your comments? I think these forums are a place where we should feel comfortable asking questions and not fear being ridiculed… BelieveInJesus took the insults well (although he/she may not have seen the most recent one) but comments like yours have no place in a forum like this.

I’m going to be facetious xP. Based on all the info that you gave us (2350 SAT, 32 ACT), Stanford and Cal Tech are going to be crapshoots because you made no mention of your leadership qualities and EC’s. USC is a match/safety.

I would say based on the rather copious amount of applicants with perfect or near perfect SAT/ACT scores (superscored or non superscored), it would increase your chances of being accepted by top tier schools if you scored high on both standardized tests. If you do poorly on the ACT, if you choose to retake it, just do not submit it. As it stands, I would say you have a decent chance with a 2350 SAT score, but why not show that you can go above and beyond a score well on the ACT as well? FYI: I have a 33 ACT (34 superscored), SAT 2120 (not near as high as yours). Best of Luck!

I’m in a similar situation, I got a 2350 on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT. I’m signed up to take the ACT. Should I go take it or just not go and know that I wasted 70 dollars to sign up? If I do well on the ACT then I can offer tutoring in it or what not
