hey i just took BB test 7. and im thrilled with my results
and i missed 2 CR, 0 Math, 0 Writing
if i got a 10 on the essay, would that put me at 2400??
im not doing this to brag i swear i just want to know the grading because i've heard you can miss one or two sometimes in CR (not sure if its true)
also
how accurate is this test??
thanks!!!

i think that's a 2400 yes lol.
yeah, no matter how bad the curve is, u'll at least get 2400
CR sometimes if u get 63 raw score(- 4 total), u can still get 800.
usually -3,
but that doesnt include the guessing penalty..

GZ =)

im jealous.

omg i wanna kill you. you block my way to top schools

^ Just one person? Jeez.

Anyway, good going! :D

How were you able to accomplish that feat? Mind sharing?

What's BB?

@Perpetual
BB=Blue Book by College board

Thanks! I should know that... :)

wow 2400!!! nice. Wanna share improvements or study methods?

well, my previous sat score was 2140 (800 math, 710 writing, 630 reading)
so math, nothing's really changed so i cant really talk too much about that
for the writing, i dont know why (i havent done specific prep) but i've been doing really well on the MC lately. i think i just had an epiphany and suddenly the MC has been a breeze. it seems like i know what to look for. i think that just comes from practice and repitition really, because i havent really learned any knew rules. after seeing so many questions however, you can almost predict what a mistake will be
reading, i've learned a lot of words, so i didnt miss sentence completions
and they went by really quickly
i literally took just a glance at the sentence on some of em and circled the answer immediately
and since i think i did the SC's quicker, it gave me more time on the reading to really delve into each answer choice

i'm really stoked about this, hopefully it wasnt just a fluke or anything hahah
but in reality, i probably just got really lucky

in addition, how does the writing curve work?? i didnt miss any multiple choice (i didnt write the essay though) but what is the lowest essay score you can get without missing any and still get an 800?? (i got a 10 on the real SAT)

also, does anyone know the accuracy of this test?? (BB #7)

did you go over your mistakes?

That's definitely a 2400, good job.

@stueydue

Nice, what vocabulary list did you use?

haha i was so excited about this that i took another practice test today, and i did worse (well pretty much just the reading):

Math: -0
Critical Reading: -9 (big difference from yesterday, but the vocabulary words today just killed me)
Writing: -1 (horribly stupid mistake)

i think thats about a 2270?

geez this shows you how someone who is capable of a 2200ish could very well get a 2400 on a certain day

although it went down im still happy because im improving and i still have a little over a month!

^ I received a near 2400 (2350) or so on the Practice Test #7; for some reason, a lot of people seem to do better on #7 than others.

ya maybe it was easier???
but to clarify what i said about the vocab killing me, they were words that i had studied, just blanked out on. and it wasnt too much vocab as in SC ( i missed 2 of those) but Vocab within passages and passage questions (missed 3 of those)

^ You shouldn't blank out on vocab you definitively studied; I would suggest maybe reviewing them a bit more. I know what you mean, though. Sometimes I just memorize my vocabulary without using them in context so I completely blank out on certain Sentence Completions using the vocab.

ya i am actually going to start reviewing tomorrow.
everyone who reads this, its one thing to go through tons of words, its another to remember those tons of words lol im serious
i think i would rather know 250 words really well than be iffy on 500 or even 1000
