$2500 one-time national merit scholarship

<p>I was offered this scholarship, but NU also offers a $2000 a year scholarship to national merit semi-finalists. I was told that I am only allowed to take the $2500 and ineligible for the $8000 total from NU. It doesn't seem like a good thing that I won the $2500 anymore.</p>

<p>Is anyone else in this situation?</p>

<p>I agree; that’s a bit ridiculous. Were I not going to college for free (I received the Lay Scholarship at Furman University) I would have been in a similar predicament, actually.</p>
