<p>based on historical data, it appears 3,900 applicants have been accepted, not 2,900 as reported in the article. further, it is somewhat interesting that neither of these numbers result in the reported acceptance rate of 27%. </p>
<p>27% is possible as a regular decision acceptance rate if the number is indeed 3900, however. and it is important to keep in mind that every waitlist acceptance, if there are ultimately any, will bump that number up.</p>
