2nd semester schedule

Hello all!

My school is in the process of letting us (students) register for classes soon. I wanted to know how you guys think my schedule is looking so far? BTW, I'm a junior in college but this is my first time at a CSU, and taking multiple labs. Here's what I'm thinking so far.

Sociology of Deviance (3)
Social Psychology (3)
Social Statistics (3)
Social Statistics Lab (1)
Life in the Sea (3)
Life in the Sea Lab (1)

All these are somewhat required courses and have to be taken eventually. I should also note that I'm not the best at math, but I'm currently taking a intro stats class and I have a C so far.

Thanks!

I should note that I’m a criminology major…

If stats is difficult for you, then I’d suggest keeping this schedule, even though it’s only 14 credits (is 15 considered on-track-for-graduation where you are?). That way, you can have the flexibility to devote the time you’ll need to do well in that class, which is very important for your major. Maybe think about taking a one-credit class in the summer or fall to “catch up” with your credits if you’re not already ahead.

15 units is the normal course load for students at CSUs to take every semester or quarter. 120 semester units (15 * 8) or 180 quarter units (15 * 12) are needed to graduate.

Since the OP presumably just transferred in as a junior, s/he may have come in with more than 60 semester units (the minimum to transfer in). If so, being a unit or few short in some semesters may not necessarily delay graduation (but don’t fall too far short, or fall short on specific course requirements for the major).

@stradmom Right now, if I keep that schedule, I’d be on track to graduate if I take a total of 32 units next year. So that would mean taking the max load of courses each semester for my senior year. The only thing I’m thinking is that 2 labs would be a little too much? I’m hoping it isn’t. I was thinking about taking my Sociology of Deviance class in the winter term but there’s no way that I can afford it.

Update:

So I just got off the phone with my mother and I told her that I was taking 32 units (16 each semester) in my senior year. She said that this would be too much since I work part time, but the thing is, I want to graduate on time. I’m already behind right now, I was supposed to graduate the my BA in May 2013, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I don’t want to do that be behind again. What do you guys think I should do?

Wow, sorry for the typos. I meant to say, I don’t want to be behind again and I was supposed to graduate with my BA/BS in May of 2013.
