2nd time around

This is my first thread on college confidential so here goes :)

I'm originally from Malaysia and moved to the States about 3 years ago. Back there, high school started at form 1 right after primary school (which would be the equivalent of the 7th grade here) and we'd graduate after the 11th grade.

Here's my problem: In Malaysia I participated in some noteworthy ECs that would definitely spice up my college applications, but I started high school here as a freshman like everybody else with a clean slate. Would colleges still acknowledge my previous ECs back there or would I be judged on a clean slate?

Much love :)

The only activities they want you to report are the ones you participate in during grades 9-12.

However, your ECs in Malaysia would make for an interesting essay!

I second what world changer said, and also suggest that perhaps you try to find some corresponding activities here in the US (either established or something you start), and then you could talk about how your interest started in Malaysia in the short answer question about your EC
