Hi everyone, here's the deal:

I spent three years at a very large public high school in the US. However, after my junior year, my parents moved us out of the country (in 2007) because of a job offer. My new school (the only American school anywhere nearby) requires the IB diploma in order to graduate. So, I have now become a "super senior" entering my fifth year of high school. The school is much smaller but I actually like here way better. I am currently entering my last year.

My question is, is there any special mention I must submit on my application to explain this extra year?

Also, since arriving here I've significantly picked up both my academic grades and my EC's. However, since it's a small school, they did not have an MUN chapter so I started one. Also, I have joined my school's SC and have been heavily, heavily involved in that although I did not participate in SC at my old school. I'm honestly doing these extracurriculars because I enjoy being involved and they are in direct line with what I hope to majoring in. At my old school, the SC felt completely fake, exclusive, and nothing was ever accomplished so I was put off by that and did not join. There was no MUN chapter at my old high school. How do colleges view such a "pick up" in ECs?

Anyway, thanks for the feedback!
