I live in Michigan too, I was just wondering what high school you went to.

Bump/ I chance back!

I can chance you for Michigan, i think you have a pretty good shot.

invite me to post and i'll attempt a chance

i think you have a shot at tulane. however, tulane is very expensive.

oh yeah i know. price is a secondary issue, however, and I am open to any fitting suggestions, please

You're pretty much In for U of michigan. But i've heard that as of now they have the lowest African American population they've had since ever. You could practically have a 25 and still probably get in.

In terms of lib. arts schools: I would suggest Hamilton, which has an awesome English program and is desparate for minority candidates. Acceptance rating is pretty low (about 30 percent), but you still have a shot. Middlebury's also a good one to look into.

Less competitive but still exceptional are Hampshire, Marlboro, Bennington (you might have a match there) and St. Lawrence. Give those a shot--though they're certainly smaller than you might want.

Definitely in at MSU. Michigan could be feasible.

University of Michigan-Low Reach
Michigan State University-Match
USC-Reach
UCLA-Far Reach
Tulane-?
Boston University-Low Reach

Chance back here! <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/643010-how-my-chances-ucs-bu-nyu-uw-will-chance-back.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/643010-how-my-chances-ucs-bu-nyu-uw-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

thanks!

I can tell you that UCLA statistically doesn't accept many 3.0-3.49 people (less than 4%)

For 3.5-4.2 is much higher the acceptance rate

so it is pretty tight on that

I495: Thanks for the suggestions i'll look into those

Thanks for the chances everyone!

And haikumarukuchan: yeah i know, i just wanted to get a feel for how out it that would be, but thanks
