3.4 - 3.84 GPA... Uh oh?

In Gr9, I got a 85% average which equates to about 3.4; but in gr11, I got 96% (that year) which is a 3.84. I know universities look at all 4 years in high school. I was just wondering how badly will I get affected by my poor marks at the beginning of high school:

(year by year - unweighted)
Gr9: 3.4
Gr10: 3.65
Gr11: 3.84
Gr12: N/A (shooting for a 3.9 ish)

In the end, it'll probably end up cumulatively as a 3.7... I should be very worried shouldn't I? However, all signs show I matured completely in Gr11, with a lot of competition and SAT scores etc... that year (self learning 5 APs, all 5s) So will universities penalize me for not growing up for half of high school?

no! Colleges LIKE upward curves. If it was 3.84 your freshman year and then 3.4 your junior year, you should be worried. No. You do not need to worry that much. A 3.7 is still a really really good GPA. some colleges even recalculate your GPA to eliminate grade 9. Sure, they still look at freshman year. But the fact that you did your best inthe toughest year of high school is a good thing. relax.
