I am a Sophomore in high school. My freshman year, I earned a 3.8 GPA for both semesters. The thing that brought my GPA down was math which really is not my strongpoint. I got A's in all my subjects but a B+ in math. I can see 3.8 being my GPA for the rest of my high school career. This was really disappointing for me, because I expected a 4.0 judging by the amount of work I put into every subject. :(

I want to apply for Ivy Leagues in the future and I was wondering how much this will hinder my acceptance? All the other aspects of my resume are in great shape but my GPA is killing my vibe.

Also, if I am able to boost my GPA to a 4.0 for the rest of my high school career, will colleges pay attention to the upward trend a lot?

Thanks!
