3 Colleges in the span of 2 years?

Hi guys.

I am in a tough crossroad with myself. I am currently an undergraduate student at Penn State. I hate it here for various amounts of reasons and I hope to transfer. The schools I wish to attend are either USC, Michigan. However, both schools do not accept Freshman spring transfers. A school that DOES take freshman spring transfers are Ohio State, which I recently applied to and pretty confident I’ll be accepted.

My question is: Does it hurt my chances of getting accepted to USC/Michigan if I transfer to OSU for the spring semester?

It seems kind of stupid for me to transfer from Penn State to Ohio State for a semester, then apply to Michigan and USC. But Michigan and USC are my ultimate destinations and I can’t express my disapproval towards the Penn State campus enough. Literally suffering. Please. Any honest feedback will be appreciated. Thank you.

Feel free to PM me if you want to kvetch about PSU to a sympathetic fellow student.

IMO, it would definitely be silly to go to OSU only to leave almost immediately. How are you going to have time to focus on academics, the big transition of going to a new school, making friends, and yet another transfer application?

Did you apply to these schools as freshman student? Also can you afford them?

@4kidsdad I applied to USC for Marshall business and was rejected. Did not apply to michigan. Price is not an issue.

It will depends on your GPA at Penn State & OSU. Higher GPA, better chances of getting accepted at USC or Michigan.
