3 Olin Profs make PR's Best 300 Professors list

I somehow missed this when it was first released back in April, but 3 Olin profs made it into Princetonreview's "Best 300 Professors of 2012" publication. For a school with only 30-some professors, that's pretty amazing:

Congratulations to John Geddes, Mark Somerville and Sarah Spence Adams! Go Olin!

Interesting, especially since Olin is tiny and young. Eventually I may have to stop referring to Olin as, “The best little school you’ve never heard of.”

I also noticed that Harvey Mudd had 4 profs. It’s nice that Engineering colleges made the list… MIT had 1 too.

I noticed Rose-Hulman was also very well represented with 6.

Wow! Thanks fir the link. :)

The list is based on RateMyProfessors.com. So even though Olin has great professors, I think that another factor may be the upbeat, sharing attitude of Olin students. (At some colleges, RateMyProf is used mostly by disgruntled students.) But student attitude is important too ;)

Agreed–though it isn’t just ratemyprof. PR does their own surveys (that’s how they come up with all those lists that Olin is on!) and it sounds like their methodology involves some sort of blend of those two data sources, plus additional delving once they’ve narrowed the field:
