3 Recommendation letters?

Hi Everyone,

As of right now, I have 1 recommendation letter from my IB Psychology HL teacher, one from my boss (I work as an assistant lab technician at the University of Michigan), and I was wondering if I should have another letter from the program manager from the place I volunteer at? I have over 100 hours of volunteer work there and I may even write my common app essay about my experience volunteering there.

Please let me know I you think that having a recommendation letter about volunteering would be beneficial to the college app process!

It depends upon what the college requires and/or allows. If the college asks for 2 teacher recs, then 1 teacher rec won’t cut it.

If the college allows an additional rec, you should limit it to one, and even then, include it only if the extra rec adds something to your application that is not covered elsewhere.
