will law schools frown at applicants that graduate from college in 3 years? can this hurt my application? although, I actually plan to spend my 4th year working or interning. what do you think?

I dont think they'll care as long as your GPA is solid

My daughter is graduating in 3 years and so far it hasn't hurt her acceptances - she has many to choose from. Just make sure that your GPA and LSAT is competitive.
As a parent - graduating in 3 years is certainly financially beneficial for both of us especially with law school looming in her future. Her loan amount will be smaller and so will ours.

Good luck!

hoyamom, where did your D get in?

thanks hoyamom8! can you tell me more about your daughter and what her application was like? didn't she find that her extracurriculars were kind of short?

and yeah! where did she get in?

Sorry I haven't checked this site in awhile.
My D is very private with her information - scores, gpa, and where she applied so I can't go into too much detail. I can tell you that she applied to many in the top 14 and a few just below for scholarship purposes. She zeroed in on the law schools that were strong in international law.

I did not read her final PS but I kind of know what it was about. She did do the "why so and so law school" and the diversity statements. I did not read those either.
Her extracurriculars were ok - she is doing an internship this semester and she did do a summer abroad program. It may have been better if she had done the internship in the fall before she applied but I think there were certain classes she needed to get in that semester. She also works part-time to earn money.
I guess as her mom, I think she is pretty amazing! LOL
