How do the Ivys look upon 3 years of foreign languages opposed to 4 years?
I do not have room for 3rd year Latin but I will take 3rd year in my senior year. But I still expect to take both AP Latin tests.

I'm in the same predicament, except it's not the Ivies (I'm looking at Wesleyan) and that I won't have Latin 4 senior year (no room in my schedule and it's not available, since there's only 3 students eligible to take it next year--no way are they going to make a 3-person class in a massive, teacher-deprived school).

It's usually not a big deal if you're considering science and engineering type fields. And even if you're looking into the humanities, if your guidance counselor explains it in a short note, you should be just fine.

If you were concerned about your preparation for the AP tests, you could take a course at your local community college. They were very helpful for me when my school stopped teaching advanced Spanish.

Ya i only took 3 years of foreign language. I am taking 2 maths (AP Calc and Stats and 2 science (AP phy and AP bio) this year. I don't think it matters, unless you want to do something that deals with international affairs or a language teacher.
