Wow that win felt good!

About time!

We were at the game. It was fun. Like the old days. :)

It was very fun, for us. My friend in the UF marching band wasn’t so happy though…

BUT… we should’ve gotten them in basketball too =/

It’s sports and always changes. I’m very happy to see the 'Noles end the Meyer “mystique”. One news article called it “Urban Decay”.

My guess is Meyer gets fired in two years. When does UF play USF? One loss to USF and the head coach gets fired. ;)

we were also at the game…it was a great night! Then to win the ACC on top of it–it was magical.

USF is scheduled to play at UF 2015. USF plays FSU in Tampa 2011 season. Present UF coach Urban Meyer will be gone from UF by 2015, also gone will be UF AD Jeremy Foley as well as UF President Marston. By 2015 Steve Spurrier will be back at UF after negotiating a package deal with UF giving him a billion dollar package deal naming Spurrier head football coach, athletic director, president of UF, and making Mrs. Spurrier permanent homecoming queen. If Spurrier’s UF team loses to USF in 2015, he’ll probably get hung, not in effigy, in front of his swamp by a mob of angry bullgators and then fired too.

Astute analysis, Lizard. :D

Oops, USF vs FSU football game is Sept 29, 2012 in Tampa–not 2011.

Yes, that was a “home and away” series that began with the USF game at FSU and will end with the FSU game at USF. On and off, USF and UCF are contenders, and those can be “dangerous” games for the likes of FSU, UF and UM. As Randy Shannon has found out…

…and as Bobby Bowden found out last year. Coach Bowden is alright in my book; he is still staying busy and doing good–he’s visiting US troops in the Persian Gulf in a few weeks. [Bobby Bowden to coach in flag football game for U.S. soldiers in Persian Gulf - ESPN](<a href=“Transfer Talk: Man Utd want Bayindir to compete with Onana - ESPN”>Bobby Bowden to coach in flag football game for U.S. soldiers in Persian Gulf - ESPN)

USF likes playing FSU, UF, and UM; but they don’t seem to especially like playing USF. The 1&1 with FSU ends 2012, UM didn’t renew 5 game series, and the UF 2015 game might be pushed farther down the calendar again or bought out yet. USF is now 1-0 with FSU, and 4-0 against UCF.

Well, it is a situation where USF has nothing to loose and everything to gain. No so much for FSU/UF/UM. Can’t blame them.

FSU and UM have a lot to gain by playing USF again; it gives FSU and UM opportunity to redeem themselves with wins against USF after losing their last games against USF.

I understand your argument though, we’ll take our marbles and play somewhere else.

USF played Florida State during an unusual down period. I think the next game in 2012 will be more competitive.

FSU already has two strong in-state rivals in UF (out of conference rival) and Miami (in-conference rival) and needs no more.

USF should establish a strong rivalry with UCF, FAU and FIU to generate local interest.

This is no whack at USF, it is merely recognition of the fact Florida, as a state, has a LOT of high schools that produce good football players.

USF is 9-0 vs. UCF, FAU, and FIU. USF’s AD doesn’t want to schedule any Florida schools now other than UF,FSU,UM but it takes two to tango. UCF is closest to a natural rival for USF and with new Coach Skip Holtz coming from a CUSA team like UCF, USF might be more likely to schedule UCF. Too if UCF ends up in Big East, USF will end up playing them regularily anyway. USF is supposed to open at home against FAMU next year after first road game at Notre Dame.

FSU needs to concentrate on VT this weekend or FSU could maybe end up playing USF in Orlando at the Champs Bowl in a few weeks–stranger things have happened.
