36 Act/2400 Sat

the kid with the 2.8 and the 36 ACT is not going to get into an IVY league school but he can probably get into some good ones

Agreed with thegurlnext_door...you can't be an Intel semifinalist yet..that's decided in like November

Also, yeah, I would be impressed with the double perfect scores...

...If I got a bit luckier on the sat essay I would have that and the act is cake from what I have heard. Hella bad students get 32+ on it at my school...
It has been repeatedly said that ACT is easier than SAT. If that is true, won't the colleges know that too? If ACT is easier for everyone, there is no advantage in writing it versus SAT. It is similar to grade inflation we hear about everywhere. Ultimately, the exam loses value.

250 perfect ACT scorers is reasonable. much fewer ppl take the ACT than take the SAT, and the first time the new SAT was administered, 109 ppl got 2400s.

wow (10 char)

Not everybody thinks the ACT is easier; some believe it's harder.

Lol. People who take the ACT say it is harder even though teh general concensus is that these people failed teh SAT and crawled to the ACT for an easy high score. In my opinion, the ACT is a soft option.

I'll name some stats I know of people in the class of 06.

32 act / 1810 sat
34 act /1950 sat

See the correlation? Total weak test, but colleges won't realize this since has there ever been a comprehensive study comparing ACT and SAT difficulty? No. The makers of ACT say this discrepancy is because the "SAT is an IQ / aptitude test" while the ACT is "curriculum-based" (basically a test that tests very low level facts). example : what is boiling point of water? which one is a verb?

try community college. Your friend is one of those cooped up nerds who likes to sit in the corner all day to do his little math problem. He never had his yohoo touched before =P
