…My “Why Penn” essay is 3700 words!

what do you tlak about?

holy christ.

thats either a really bad thing... or a really good thing showing your enthusiasm. Mine was only 700....

I didnt think i could write that much...but i started and all these ideas just came to me. Its crazy. I have to cut out like 4 pages now.

what do you talk about for so long

Everything basically...the campus, the extracurricular stuff im interested in, the classes.

Im applying to wharton so I talk a lot about why i want to go into business and why wharton is the best undergrad school for me

should i focus on only one or two things about Penn...because i really like everything and want to show the adcom my enthusiasm for the school...but then again i dont want them to not read it cause its so long.

what did you guys write about?

You are supposed to write a 300-500 word essay! Sorry, but nobody will every read a 3,700 page essay, no matter how much you like Penn.

If you want to get into the college, cut it down to a page or two. I'm pretty sure they'll stop reading after that. That many words will not help your chances, but will more likely hurt them.
