4 AP Classes Sophomore Year?

I'm going to be a sophomore next year and these are my courses for next year:

-AP Macro
-AP World History
-AP Calc BC
-AP Chem
-French 3
-10th grade Literature Honors

Do you think taking AP Chem and Calc BC concurrently is a good idea? Do I need more AP classes? If you have taken them, how hard are they?

That’s pretty aggresive for a sophomore.

This depends on many factors, such as: what schools you intend to apply to, whether you’re able to keep up your grades with an AP heavy load, what is offered at your HS, etc.

There is no set number of APs, the number you take will be evaluated relative to the number offered and taken by students at your school.

I want to apply to an Ivy League college and I know that they will be impressed if I take as many AP classes as possible. About 20 are offered at my school, with the exception of the easy ones (psychology, human geography, euro, art history). I’ll be joining NHS, Key Club, and math club next year, I also have years of experience working with kids struggling in school and my supervisors will write me some good recommendations.

I know a freshman this year taking two AP classes already.

How many APs did you take freshman year? Also, I wouldn’t call Euro and Art History easy.

That’s a REALLY aggressive courseload for a sophomore - most take no AP classes or one easy AP class. If you want to do it, go for it, but just realize that there are plenty of kids who have been admitted into Ivy League schools taking that many AP classes during their entire high school career.
