I am currently a junior and I am taking 2 APs: AP Lang and AP Psych, and 1 community college class (American History). I have high As in Psych and American History because they’re pretty easy for me, and I have a high B in AP Lang and it’s pretty challenging for me. I was wondering if y’all think that it’s a good idea to take on 4 APs next year (AP Bio, AP Lit, AP Spanish, and AP Gov) in addition to getting a job. I’m okay with taking only 3 APs (I would drop AP Lit), but I want to know how challenging these courses are for you, and if it’s worth juggling all 4, or if I will be dead all the time.
What are you doing for Math?
I would take the AP lit, AP Bio (assuming you hve taken Bio,chem and physics at some level) and AP Spanish…it sounds like you could handle AP Gov too.
I’m currently in Honors Pre-Calc, and I am going to do Honors Calculus next year instead of AP Calc, because even though I am good at math, I don’t like it as much as my other classes.
My D20 is taking 4 APs next year. APUSH, AP Gov, APHG, and AP English Lang. Also taking Honors Precalc, Honors Spanish 4, and 2 Honors electives. She’s currently taking 2 APs and the rest Honors and making straight As. I think it’s fine if you’re prepared.
Considering what you did regarding time commitments and grade in AP Lang, I’d switch AP lit and take honors English instead but I’d stick with the others.
