4 months to go and facing a lack of what to do.

Hey guys, I just took the May SAT and I got

Critical Reading: 790
Math: 710
Writing: 780 (73 and a 12 Essay)

Obviously, I am prodigiously disappointed with my Math score which is usually my best subject. I think I made 3 mistakes which resulted in a raw score of 50? Anyways, I'm going to retake it in October but that's still 4 months away. I don't think I'm lacking any concepts as when I took the May test I knew everything. It just seems the carelessness that is hampering me? So, my question is what should I do for 4 months. Obviously I have school but I want to ensure that I'm in good touch for the SAT as well so I don't forget Critical Reading or Writing. The problem is that I've finished all the 10 Blue Book tests, all the QAS I had, and all the other non-collegeboard tests (ex: Princeton Review). I just have a couple of PSAT's left but they won't last me a month (maybe 2-3 weeks under the assumption that I do 3 sections of 1 subject every day for an hour).

Please help me solve my predicament. How do I practice and keep my touch for the SAT for 4 months? On a side note, does the test taken in 7th Grade for Duke Tip count? I heard that any test taken before 8th grade does not count? Is this true?

Thanks in advance for all your help guys.

Get the Question and Answer service. Review your mistakes carefully. Check what type of careless mistakes you make (misreading, etc.) and record them. Do this for all the practice tests you did previously too. Next time, underline stuff in the questions so as not to forget or make a mistake. Also, review each question after you finish it, THEN move on to the next.

I’m in a similar situation. Normally, the advice above doesn’t even help me though. I’ll get like a 750 this time. Need an 800 on the next. (My scores didn’t come out yet, unfortunately.)
I doubt your tests pre-9th grade count. Duke isn’t a top school for nothing, you know, they’re not that dumb.

Also, it seems like you’re better at English at Math. Just sayin’.

Thanks Jimmy. I’ll try out your advice. Anyways, I still don’t think I’m better than English than I am at math. Its just that the careless mistakes do me in.

Anymore advice people?

Bump. Please guys, a little help?
