4 or 5 AP's?

Hi I was wondering if taking 4 rather than 5 AP's junior year will have a substantial impact on my application.
My plan is...
AP Physics
AP US History
AP Calc BC
AP ECON

and I was considering AP Lang and Comp....what does everyone think of that class?

AP Lang and Comp is super easy at my school. The rigor may be different at yours, but if you are good at English and enjoy writing, you should be assured of a 4 or 5 on the exam, I think. Your class will prepare you for the way the test wants the essays to be written.

The difference between 4 and 5 is negligible, IMO. If you like the teacher for AP Lang, do it. If not, take another English class. Workload varies by school, so you might want to ask kids currently taking the class how they are faring.

Unfortunately I can’t ask other kids because the class has not been offered before…it will be new next year. I don’t love writing truthfully. Also I am taking AP world this year, and it is the first year that it has been offered, and it is easy for me, but we are very behind… I don’t want to take AP lang and be very behind and have to self-study very much

Take what you want to take if it’s something you’re truly interested in and willing to work at. It won’t make a difference in college what classes you took in high school so enjoy it and do what you love.

add it

It really depends on how well you do in the classes. If adding the fifth would make your grades go down in the other four, then it’s probably not worth it. If you’re able to maintain strong grades and perform well on the AP Exams for all five courses, then I’d go for it. Taking the fifth to have a better application but not being prepared for the workload is not the right course to go. Best of luck with your studies
