4 or 5 AP classes senior year?

I'm taking AP Physics C, AP Calculus BC, AP Psychology, AP Comparative Politics/AP Econ, Regular English. Should I take AP Art History on top of these classes because I heard it's a good class and can knock out a lot of classes in college? I would replace it with psychology, but I'm really interested in that class. What should I do?

Unless you go to a private high school, this will be your last year to have that “free education”. Do what makes you happy and take AP Art History. It’s better to have a class you look forward too.

If it interests you, by all means take it.

You have a heavy workload the difference of 4 vs. 5 will not make a difference so be true to yourself and take what you want as a personal interest or you heard the teacher was great. Enjoy!

If you’re really interested in AP Art History, take it. However, DO NOT take it just to impress admission officers or to “knock out some credits” (be aware that the most selective private colleges don’t grant AP credit, they look at AP classes are the basic prerequisite for their freshman classes, not as equivalent to their freshman classes.)

Agree - only take the 5th AP if you have the additional one hour a day or so on top of the workload for the other classes, and only if you really like the topic. Otherwise, the extra work will kill you, the extra class won’t really add anything in terms of value to get you into college, and your grades could drop due to lack of time, which WOULD hurt your chances…

Ok thanks guys!
