Is it really that hard? I seem easy enough to me. Unless the hard part is yet to come. Yet it was here that many (not most) CCers said AP Chemistry was the hardest AP. Are they all wrong, is my teacher a simple pushover or am I really that good in Science?

I took AP Chem last year and I have to say it starts out easy but once you get into thermodynamics, titrations, buffers, and acid/bases you better study hard. Many students are fooled at first that AP Chem is easy but once you get into the meats and potatoes, it gets tough. Enjoy the easy work for now.

I wish there was an AP Organic Chem or AP Nuclear Chem.

The awesomeness… would be great.

AP Chemistry is not hard for me. It’s challenging at times, such as when we’re presented new material and doing practice problems, but after that night’s homework (or even just going over it on the boards) I’m fine and dandy.

Do you like it? I’ve noticed among my classmates that the level of enjoyment/interest affects how well you learn it.

EDIT: We already learned (part of) acids and bases and titrations. Titration were are simple to me now. Well everything is once you “get it”.

^ When we did titration problems in class, I don’t think there was a single moment when I understood what my teacher was talking about.

@Niquii: It not that hard for me… I just need to know the formulas like every other class and actually do it. After some trails and errors I got it down. I am interested in learning it I guess. Cause at one point I slept in the class like 2nd week of school and I really slip up. Now I’m focused and not sleeping at all (in classes). Pulled up my grades from a D and about to get it into an A but stupud confusing lab messes me up (I blame the teacher for that one.

Whoops I meant “is not hard”.
goes to fix it

I love doing labs in my class. The teacher tells us what we’re doing and then we’re allowed to alter whatever we need to. Physics’ labs on the other hand are a pain in my butt…

Physic lab? lmao I got A and usually the top student when it come to comstumizing lab report… The actual experiments though was tricky. If only I can combine my lab report thing from reg. physics and applies it to AP Chem… Sigh but nooo We must keep these thing in our handy dandy composition notebooks. Still I been slacking a bit… I really shouldn’t but too much distractions. BTW CC is NOT one of the distractions lmao

Hahaha my Physics labs suck because they’re usually 5 or 6 pages front and back. No lie. But I don’t mind writing in comp book for chem since she only grades the right page. So chem labs are 4 pages one sided and are easier to BS ;)

I do agree that Physics pages are lengthy lmao. But it is easier for AP chem (easy A in Comp notebook) but I missed the efforts, the ideas being put into your lab report. But Chemistry is so much more fun :/

AP chemistry and calculus makes regular physics so easy… atleast it did for me. AP chem is hard near the middle and end.
