4 years of foreign language?

Will taking four years of a foreign language increase your chances of getting into a college? I'm talking about a state university, not an ivy league school. I am enrolled in Spanish 4 at my high school, and today I found out that I am one of the only people in the class that isn't a native speaker. Should I switch out, or will Spanish 4 look good? Another option is dropping spanish and taking one year of french or german. I'm just nervous that if I stay in the class, it might be a little too fast-paced.

As of now my senior schedule is:

-Spanish 4
-Ap Statistics
-Ap Environmental Science (flvs)
-Dual enrollment Human Growth
-Dual enrollment psychology
-Ceramics

Keep Spanish. If you made it to 4, you should do fine.

Definitely keep Spanish 4. Colleges would much rather see you stick with one as opposed to taking Spanish up to level 3, then randomly starting with the beginning of another language.

Its not a class made for native speakers so you should have nothing to worry about. Keep Spanish IV definitely.

I would keep Spanish 4. While I didn’t take it and jumped from 3 to AP I heard it’s not too bad of a course. Although your school will probably be a little different. But yeah. I heard continuity is KEY. So you should stick with Spanish instead of doing a SINGLE year of another language.

Oh and I’m taking AP Spanish Lit next year which usually only has 3-4 non-native speakers. It’s exciting to be one of the few isn’t it?

What about Dual Enrollment Spanish?
