Is it looked down upon by law school admissions if you spend more than 4 years as an undergrad?

I think it would depend on what your reasons are for taking longer than four years to graduate.

i don't mean because i would be unable to fulfill the distribution requirements, but rather to pursue another major, study abroad, etc.

bumpppppppppppp

seriously....it's a one word (+10 char) answer..someone out there must know

I can't explicitly say whether they would frown upon you or not for taking more than four years to graduate, but I definitely know that they won't if you decide to take a gap after university.

P.S. Maybe you could contact some law schools you are interested in.

I can only speak for myself: it took me 5.5 years to finish my engineering degree at a non-name brand school, and I got into Michigan. Good (but not sky-high) grades and a high LSAT definitely helped.
