4th year of Science vs. School newspaper

Hello all,
I am currently debating whether or not to take Journalism over a 4th year of science.

I have taken Biology Honors, Chemistry Honors, and Biology AP. 3 years of sciences.

I am currently going into my senior year and have decided to take up the school newspaper in place of Anatomy/Physiology.
The Anatomy class is a regular class, it is not AP nor is it an Honors class so it is worth 4 points towards my GPA.

I concluded that since it's not an AP or Honors class, I might as well take Journalism and in my Common Application, state that I was a writer/editor for my school newspaper.

However, I am not taking a 4th year of science that universities recommend.

I was wondering what your thoughts are on this decision, is it better for me to take the Journalism class and show off that I was a writer/editor for my newspaper in the extracurricular section, or is it better to just take a regular science to complete 4 years.

Thank you for your time.

I would recommend a year of physics if possible over journalism. This is almost mandatory if you are shooting for a top college with the intent of going into the sciences or engineering.
