Comments? Seems to be about average for what other institutions have announced.

Seems about average, unless you are in a state school. Some of them are going with double digits. Texas increased tuition twice last year, once each semester.

tuition is on par with all other private schools.
I was looking at the PR guide to the colleges today at my school library. Listed in it, tuition plus room and board at Univ. of Chicago cost around 30k total. I said "woah, this must be like, 10 years old"... alas, no, it was from 2003.
scary to think where this is going.

no way...unless your "around" means 37-39 k.

I think those guides are always a year or 2 off

the 2003 edition was most likely published in 2002 and I wouldnt be supprised if it had 2001 numbers.

I know USNews catolog doesnt have the right numbers for chicago.

well, yeah, and those numbers just reflected the cost of tuition + cost of room and board. IT doenst factor in the extra 3-5k for books, traevl and personal expense that colleges factor when calculating fin. aid.
