How are you anticipating the decision? Nervous? Confident? What other schools have you gotten in too? If you get rejected, where do you think you will end up?

I thought this topic would be good for some people to get out some decision jitters.

i feel queasy....
i just keep telling myself that they reject 87% of the people that apply and to be prepared for the worst....but i want to go oh-so-badly!

It will be worse for me. I applied to two Ivies. Brown and Cornell. If I get rejected from both, I will have a horrible long weekend in which we are celebrating 25th anniversary of my uncle. A surprise party. :( I am very very nervous at the moment.

I got into Barnard and Kenyon yesterday and heard from UVA a week ago, so I know I have three great schools to choose from. I'm getting on a plane to fly to Italy at 4:20 on Thursday (aaaaah) so I'll have a restless flight with a hopefully happy ending. And if I don't get in, hey, I'm in Sicily and life could be worse.

I applied to three Ivies and am expecting zero acceptances. There's a boy in my class who also applied to Dartmouth and will probably get in over me, there are two girls in my class who also applied to Brown (one is from Africa, one has a whole bunch of cool church stuff), and a girl from a nearby highschool who was accepted to Yale early decision. I'm expecting three consecutive rejections. Hoorah! It's okay though, I've already been accepted to Wellesley and Bryn Mawr, both of which I would be ecstatic to attend. I basically just threw my hat in the ring to see if I would get lucky. I'm not expecting anything.

Of course I sound so cool right now but Thursday at 5:01 I will likely be sobbing in my bed with a pint of ice cream. Oh the angst...

I'm waiting on what will probably be rejections from Brown, Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth, UPenn, Georgetown, and Johns Hopkins. My alternatives are a crappy state school, community college, or no college at all. Thursday will be a gruesome day.

Ohhh Lux, I feel for you. Since I didn't get into the other school I applied to, my only other option is mah flagship state...which is, coincidentally, 15 minutes from my house. A load of my friends' parents WORK there. Yep, twill be an awkward four years for me...15 minutes away from my parents, too....gah.

Frankly speaking, I don't think I'm even going to be able to view the decisions....will probably die of a heart attack before then. =D

Got rejected from Wellesley, and waitlisted at Barnard, so chances at Stanford, Princeton, Harvard, Brown, Cornell and Columbia are next to nil.
Has anyone here even heard of an applicant who didn't get into top-rated LACs but did get into an Ivy? No? Sigh. I figured.

my princeton interviewer applied to 5 schools, and got rejected from all of them (including his safety, case western) except princeton, where he was accepted. he said he got the princeton letter last, too, which must have been awful. anyway, the point is, it just secured my faith in the idea that admissions have a lot to do with fit, and don't lose hope!

I think I'm going to be accepted because Brown is the best school in the world. No, I'm actually completely kidding. Even valedictorians get rejected (and i'm about 44 ranks away from that . lol)
