6 or 7 yr pre-med programs

can anyone tell me about 6, 7, or even 8 yr bs/md programs in the u.s. preferabley at private universities but some publics r ok to, any part of the country EXCEPT the deep south(ie.mississippi, louisana, st.louis), so anywhere else is fine. thanks in advance.

... St. Louis is the deep South?

its to deep for me, but i'd appreciate it if u'd answer the question instead of criticing my post.

There's an entire forum dedicated to the question.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/forumdisplay.php?f=476

For BS/MD: http://services.aamc.org/currdir/section3/degree2.cfm?data=yes&program=bsmd

note: many places have state-residency restrictions

Well, since the two best programs for it (the Baylor one and WashU's) are in your odd definition of the 'deep south,' I'd say your restricting yourself quite a lot if that's what you want to do. (PS: demanding answers to questions is not a good way to get positive responses)

While I don't like the programs as a rule, I'm somewhat partial to Brown's, as the school's open curriculum and ability to take any class pass/fail gives you a chance to really explore a lot of other things while you decide if medicine is really the track you want to go on, without worrying too much about requirements or your GPA.
