Hi, I've been searching online and I'm very interested in a medical program, one that takes you straight through from college to medical school. It seems very convenient, as some you aren't required to take the MCATs and you only have to maintain a minimum GPA.

However, I was trying to figure the acceptance rates and could not find anything online. My friend said that they were very competitive to get into, and I was just curious as to what types of people and what acceptance rates certain programs have. I am particularly interested in Union College's "Leadership in Medicine" program.

Here's a link to a list of programs.

I don’t know if there are any published acceptance rates, but even if there are, the numbers won’t really tell you much without stats consideration. After all, someone with a 36 ACT and a perfect GPA may have a 20% chance at acceptance, while someone with a 32 ACT and a 3.9 GPA may have a 5%.

I just wanted to see to how many of these programs it would be worthwhile to me to apply. I really just want an average/overall statistic, not specific ones. I get that anything can happen, I just want to see if it would be feasible for me to apply.

drexel programs have around a 3% acceptance rate for the 7 year track. However, as with most med programs, there are students who apply who don’t know better and think they are qualified when they are wholly unqualified. In terms of whether or not it is feasible for you to apply, you need to post your stats. Most programs have a minimum requirement for them to even consider reading your application. Most students who are accepted tend to have much higher averages than the min. reqs.

-Ivy league caliber. If you believe that you can be accepted to Harvard, you might have a chance at getting accepted to some of the bs/md’s

"you only have to maintain a minimum GPA.’
-Easier said than done. Min. GPA might be a killer after all.
