Dartmoooouth

dartmouth if money is no issue but for pre-med most people at this site say go to somewhere where you will get good grades and will be active. Go to some place where you would have fun. Look into the pre-med part of this site but you have great options. Go where it fits. You have to remember grad school is a lot and UMD is offering you full tuition. UMD does have that big smith preformance arts center but I don't know anything about the music there. You live in Maryland so I am sure you know of the internship chances in DC. I have a lot of high school friends with great interships at NIH and medical centers around this area.

Wow...that's a difficult choice. If you are serious about medicine, and I think it is way too early to tell, Case Western is a no-brainer. You are guaranteed a spot at their highly regarded medical school. Instead of killing yourself to maintain stellar grades for 4 years...and worrying about the MCAT, you can now enjoy your major and your college life without too much stress. However, if you aren't certain about medical school, any of the schools you got into would be great. My first choice would be either Cornell or Rice, my third choice would be Dartmouth and my fourth choice would be Williams or Johns Hopkins. I would not really consider Case Western (unless I were guaranteed their medical school) or Maryland.

I think you would be in good shape to get into med school from any of the choices, but Dartmouth would seem to me to be the fullest, most enjoyable college experience out of the group. Williams is probably considered on a par academically, (with Cornell & JHU not far behind) but doesn't seem as much fun and inclusive from the people I know who've gone there to me.

Johns Hopkins, Dartmouth, or Cornell.

Case is definitely not a med school that one "settles" for. It's fantastic. But I'll admit, I think it might be lacking your "happiness factor." Some kids at Case, occasionally, feel sad. ;-)

Williams or Dartmouth.

If money matters, UMD or Case (since they guaranteed med). If money really doesn't matter, consider Dartmouth and Rice. JHU and Cornell do not sound like happy places to me, not worth it. You have such a problem- too many good things to choose from.

thank you all for your responses :) i think my top 3 choices are dartmouth, case, and rice.

congrats on the full tuition to UMD college park!

I say that you should give Williams one more look

uhh..guaranteed place in CWRU(which is a VERY good med school which ridethecliche obviously fails to notice)

take it...
