7 Year Med Program Notification Dates

Alright, guys:

I cannot SIT in my seat any longer. I called them and got through to this guy at the visitor center who said med program letters should be mailed out next Friday with RD people. Of those who applied and interviewed, have any of you heard from them? Do you know the date? Can you ease my anxiety? I am going nuts. Thanks, guys.

I am waiting to hear from GW as well.

It is the only college that I applied to for the 6/7 year integrated MD program. Did you apply to any others?

I did. I applied to Brown's P.L.M.E. and Union College/Albany Medical College program, both 8 years. What's your stats?

Sholefs, have you looked at banweb? Someone on the thread about RD decision dates said that they got a scholarship for $15,000, while many other people have said that they got $18,200 as the presidential scholarship. Since the $15,000 is offered only to certain special program students (including BA/MD), I think if you got that scholarship you might have been admitted to BA/MD. I myself am hoping that this isn't true, since I got the presidential scholarship, and not the $15,000.

aster, i tried to but i couldn't find anything at all. where do you click to find the Financial aid package?

I think it's under award history. Some people have said that their award decisions are up one day and gone the next, so if there isn't anything there don't stress.

I too am an applicant to GW's BA/MD program and got the Presidential Scholarship. When i went to the interview thing, they said the tuition would be set at a fixed rate for all 7 years and would not fluctuate. Maybe the extra 3,000 dollars is due to a tuition increase. Glad i'm not alone.

can u guyz please post ur stats? thanx

Got my acceptance package for the 7 year BA/MD program at GW in today's mail.

I found out today that i got into the program. Im pretty sure that its not my numbers that got me in, but rather my leadership positions, recs, essays, volunteer work, and lab experience. I was also very pleased with my interview performance, I mentally rehearsed a lot beforehand so it felt really natural when it came down to it.
