My GPA's low for those two schools (3.81 UW, 4.54 W). The rest of my scores.. SAT-2260, SAT II-790/740, ACT-34

I can avoid sending my SAT II scores if I send my ACT. Would a 740 hurt that much? I'd like to send my 790 and 2260, and I'm worried it'll look fishy if I don't send in the second SAT II score. Any opinions are appreciated.

Everyone is saying baaah…it’s good send it. And one said that anything over a 700 is OK. But I’ve been more inclined to believe what I’ve heard that, for Ivies, anything over a 750 is OK. That said…My D’s TOP SAT I score is a 740 and she’s sending it. That is theoretically over 750 because each score really just represents a range. And all your other scores are higher, so why not just send it. It’s not a downfall, it proves you’ve got all high scores. They’re not ALL going to be 800s (well, they are for some!), but they’re great. Send it. And BEST of luck because my D is applying to Brown with very similar scores! 2210, 780, 750, and 34) So I HOPE they’re good enough! BTW…my D sent ALL scores (all SATs and ACT). FWIW.

@R: I hope they’re good enough, too! I’ll send all scores, even though that’s almost $100 more (and from my own wallet-yowch). @everyone else: Yes, CC seems to be a mecca for neurotic people. :P

My S is applying to Brown. 2210, 800, 740 and (gasp) 680. The 680 was in US History. He plans on being a physics major. The 800 is Math II and 740 is Physics. He’ll also have completed Linear Algebra and MV Calc. I’d bet lunch that the admission decision is not going to ride on that 680 score.

Thanks for the link, hollow. My 740’s in Lit… Jesus, a 740 in Chinese Listening is at the 18th percentile. With my broken Chinese, I could probably score in the 2nd percentile. :D

Keilinger - Brown’s median SATs aren’t as high as 740+740 out of 1600 (or 740+740+740 out of 2400). I don’t know why you’d think a 740 on any scale would be below their norms.
