780 now or 800 later??

I'm planning to sign up for the next SAT.
from practice tests I usually get like 780~790 on Math iic.
should i just take the SAT even i'm not sure i can get a 800? i mean i'm still a junior with a lot of free time.

and should i take SAT Chemistry. I'm sure i can get 700~740.
even i take it and not score perfect this time and score perfect next time. would colleges see that i have taken the test twice?

so what do you recommend? 780 now or 800 later?

Even though a 780-790 seems nearly perfect, it indicates that you missed or omitted quite a few questions on the Math IIC.

It really depends on what practice tests you are using. Are you sure they're accurate representations of the real tests?

i'm pretty sure.
i get almost all the questions right except those i haven't yet learned. like the thing that looks like they added (>>) together , and some log questions.
and wierd elipse questions.

try learn up the concepts before ur tests? they're not much.

Since you have a lot of free time, study for the test and take it later this year- dec or jan. You do not want to wait till the end of junior year or the beginning of senior year if you can score perfectly NOW. You will have a lot more on your mind than Math II next year. Take it soon, don't put it off.

BTW- I scored 760 and 780 on the PR tests- had no problem cracking an 800 on test day.

780 vs. 800 isn't going to make a real difference when colleges see your scores, but considering that you do have time to prepare more, I'd suggest taking Math Level 2 in June of your Junior year along with two other subject tests. It really can't hurt to wait longer.
