I've been shopping for textbooks and I was wondering what they're using for the class this year. I've already searched the MIT site and I'm having some trouble finding it. So anyone... please help!

You'll be able to find out what books your classes are using when the Coop opens up the textbook section. When I checked a few weeks ago, they said they'd be opening it Monday the 29th.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure they're opening it so late to discourage people from getting books online -- usually they open it in mid-August. And they don't have a list of books online, almost certainly for the same reason. Jerks.

You could check Quantum books (in Kendall Square, or here) -- they carry books for some classes and are not jerks like the people at the Coop. Also, don't forget that you do not need your books the first ~week of class, and even though the people at the Coop are jerks, you should still order your books online if it's cheaper.

EDIT: I can't seem to find the spot on Quantum's website where they (used to) list textbooks. Maybe they don't do that anymore.

Always check quantum before you buy books at the Coop. It is almost always cheaper.
