I am thinking about taking 8 AP classes my junior year. Since I have regular junior classes like algebra 2 and chemistry I am only able to take 2 AP classes during school and the other 6 will be taken online. My schedule looks something like this:
In school:
AP US History
AP Environmental Science (or AP Micro/Macroeconomics still deciding)
Chemistry Honors
Algebra 2 Honors
English III Honors
Cambridge Program Writing Class

Online:
AP Micro/Macro
AP Biology
AP Human Geography
AP European History
AP Spanish Language (I came from Cuba 3 years ago, this should not be a problem)
AP Psychology

Do you guys think it's doable? If so, any tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know why people think it’s extremely impressive to take excessive amounts of APs. What your school offers is good enough. Unless you are a genius, you’ll get stressed out some point in the year.
However, if you insist on taking more APs than your school has, then I would drop some online ones. Keep AP Spanish and Psych for sure, because those are relatively easy. AP Bio might be hard because you would have 3 sciences… And I don’t know what else to say because looking at this schedule stresses me out lol

APUSH isn’t a hard course but it’s hella time consuming with all of the reading. You also seem like you might get bunked down with too many math/science classes so why not just cut back on a couple? Also what was your motive for taking so many AP classes?

Is it doable? Perhaps, although I think you would stretch yourself way too thin. There are more important things in life than AP courses and even high school. Plus, I think you come across just as well if you cut out a few of those courses. At some point, it just looks like you’re trying too hard and I think you’ve reached it (No offense intended, I don’t mean to imply anything negative, just how it may come across to some people.)

If I were you I would cut AP Geo (useless course in all honesty), one of the AP economics (I took AP Micro only and I thought it was fine), and perhaps one more. APUSH is an intensive course, as is AP Euro and Chemistry, AP Bio and Algebra II can really trick some people up. That combined with AP Psych and English would be plenty. Spend some time focusing on things other than schoolwork. Join clubs, volunteer, get a job, hell just enjoy your junior year. 8 AP’s isn’t necessary by any means.

I decided to take all these AP’s to become an AP scholar and personally the only ones I think I’m going to have a problem with are ap bio and ap environmental science

Yes, if you self-study bio, you will lose a lot of the hands on labs you would complete in class. Just keep that in mind- unless the online course has thorough virtual labs, you should really reconsider self-studying that class. Keep in mind that while ap scholar is possible with this schedule, you still have to score a 4 or higher on all of these tests.
And with environmental science, I’ve never heard of it being particularly difficult so… You’re smart in not taking the HARDEST AP’s(physics, calculus, chem…), so that’s why I believe this is very doable. Good luck!
P.s. I’ll be right there with ya in my 7 AP’s for next year xD

i recommend only self-studying all those AP’s ONLY if you are truly interested in them. I really don’t recommend taking AP Us in school and then self studying euro…trust me history is pretty brutal

Do you have ECs to thinks about? What about SAT/ACT? What are you going to do when May comes? Are you going to take ALL these tests? With the Final Exams in your non-AP Classes? I would advise you to drop at least two, one of them science.

I’m sorry but I would strongly recommend at least dropping AP Bio, I think taking the actual class would help you get a better score, also it looks like you’re just trying to take as many AP classes as possible which is fine and all but it really doesn’t show anything about what you’re truly interested in. If I were you I’d consider dropping the AP classes you aren’t too interested in and doing some ECs that show what your interests are.

Taking 8 aps is definitely possible - that’s what I did last year. All of mine were at school whereas yours are mostly online. I would advise you to drop a few of the classes. The only reason I was able to take so many is because some of my teachers didn’t assign a lot of homework. I don’t know how online curriculums work so ask some people who have taken similar classes to gage the workload.
