89 in AP Physics 1?

I am a senior applying into engineering for most of my colleges, including selective ones like UMich, Georgia Tech, Northeastern, Upenn, etc. I have great SAT Scores (especially in math) and a great GPA. However, my first quarter grade for AP Physics is an 89 and most people in my class have in the mid to high 80s but some in the 90s (I forgot one concept on one test and it brought my average down so much!) I am predicting my average for the second quarter will be in the low 90s, but will these grades in my mid-year report affect my admissions to these schools in engineering? I have above a 94 in every other class. Is there anything I can do to notify the colleges about my situation? I don’t like excuses, but my teacher is not the best and grades harshly. Thanks!

You are fine.

Make sure that you include a couple of affordable safeties in the list of schools that you apply to. With this, I agree with @happy1, you are doing well and will be fine.
