9 AP exams?

I'm planning to take the following nine AP exams this May:

AP Biology (class)
AP Calculus (AB) (class)
AP English Literature (class)
AP English Language (class)
AP Microeconomics (self-study)
AP Macroeconomics (self-study)
AP Physics B (self-study)
AP Psychology (self-study)
AP Statistics (self-study)

I am taking the basic class for Economics and plan to get prep books to cover the rest of the information. I took a basic physics class last year and have bought three different prep books to cover throughout the year. I am doing a chapter of psychology each day right now, so I will complete the prep book before school starts this year and then review periodically throughout the year. I am buying a statistics prep book as well.

Am I overloading myself? I have already taken two AP classes and their corresponding exams and have gotten 5s on both of them (AP US History, AP US Government).

Any advice on study tips would be greatly appreciated, as well.

We have no idea what your abilities are, so none of us will be able to answer your question…just know that people have taken far more than 9 (i don’t know why), but most take nowhere near it. As for studying, get started early.

AP Bio: This one is pretty easy. Just dont fall behind and keep up with your class on material. You can then spend the weekend before the exam studying (since its usually the second Monday, and lets be honest, that’s probably where you’ll end up anyway), so dont make this one a huge priority.
Workload: Moderate

AP Calc AB: This class is sometimes easy and sometimes makes you wanna eat your depression away, but again, as long as you keep up with your class, the AP exam should be a piece of cake (and nobody hates cake)(unless you’re lactose intolerant)(even then there are substitutes)
Workload: Depends. If you’re a math person, work is minimal. If you struggle with math, work needs to be done everyday to just keep up!

AP English Lit/Lang: PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS! These exams require no studying and are solely based on your ability to write things and regurgitate poetry from your convoluted mind, all things learned in class. So keep that in mind. Also…essays…you aren’t gonna be doing yourself favors if you save those for the last minute.
Work: Extreme. Essays + Reading + Remembering stuff so you dont have to study for the exam? A little bit of overkill. Here’s a nice little rant i wrote on AP Lit: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/1530737-tips-studying-long-term-ap-lit.html</a> (scroll down all the way)

AP Microeconomics: Basic Class + Prep Book = success. My friend self studied Micro with 6 other AP’s and she turned out fine.
Workload: Not too bad.

AP Macroeconomics: This exam is a little harder, so definitely spend some more time on this. Cant really speak for this one since I haven’t taken it.
Workload: Moderate.

AP Physics B: This one i hear is a shotgun to the face. And the fact that you are self-studying it means you’re one of those freaks who likes and actually UNDERSTANDS physics, or you’re taking a huge gamble on your own self identification as a “smart person”. In any case, start studying NOW because this exam covers lots of topics and you dont wanna rely on that class you took last year. Make sure to get a teacher handy to explain the 321789312 questions you’ll probably have.
Workload: High Maintenance. This is something you wanna review every week.

AP Psychology: Dont even worry about this one. Literally. Just memorize the book. You can even do it the night before and get a 5. One of the easiest AP exams.
Workload: LOL. Seriously, just study the night before.

AP Statistics: The beginning of statistics is easy, but then it starts to really get complicated. It shouldnt be that hard to study, since most of the units are parallel in structure, but definitely have a teacher handy. And practice those FRQ’s! Stat has some very tricky FRQ’s that can totally ruin your score.
Workload: Moderate. Definitely gets harder towards the end.

If this scared you and you plan to now drop one of your exams, i suggest you drop AP Physics B. That will ease a huge burden off your list.

I’d say drop Physics B not because of the difficulty, but because Physics C looks much better for a math/science student, and Physics B rarely gives college credit.

Self studying 5 APs can get hectic. I would say self study 3 if you want to stay sane XD lol
Cheers!

Don’t bother with physics B or the economics.

If you can actually learn some statistics, you would be preparing for college.

Yes you are!
