I'll do that, Alexandre. I'll do that! :)

Why doesn't the article have the worst top 3 schools ? Cornell deserves some slack , I do not understand why allowing more people to recieve a Ivy education is a crime.

Worst administration: UC Berkeley

y nobody count Colorado Mine College(not sure but its one focusing on Mine and located in Colorado) in the worst ?

Oh man, this article was written so damn brilliantly. Great post!

firewalker, are you referring to post #44? I agree that huashi's prose has a spellbinding Faulkner-esque ambiguity to it.

I was talking about the original article...

Alexandre,
I find it interesting that unlike the first tier of colleges in the ivy, you choose not to do so with #6 thru 30? Are you implying that the peer assessment and rankings, etc. of say, Columbia, are virtually the same as that of Carleton College?? That makes no sense.
There is a pecking order in terms of prestige and it would be inaccurate to make that statement. Some schools are clearly more prestigious than others from 6 through 30, after all you are talking about 24 schools there. Why you should make such a flawed statement is beyond me considering I generally agree with what you state on CC.
BTW, I don't know why everyone loves to bash Cornell but that is one hellava school. Beautiful campus, great college town and wonderful academics. The school seems to have great spirit, as well. My brother attended there.

Cornell gets props from me for being a great school.

where bob Jones at

According to a survey on College *******, Cornell has the ugliest girls in the Ivy League. In fact, it ranks close to dead last in the country. So when students here get together for a "study session," they actually study.

Senior undecided, you can definitely break #6-#30 into two or even three groups, but there is virtually no difference between them.

Considering that all the females who attend Ivy League schools are ugly as dogs (the prestige of an instiution is inversely correlated with the beauty of its female student body), it's an awesome accomplishment for Cornell to be proud of.

Alexandre, I guess you can say that applies to #1 thru 6, as well.

Anyway, when I used to visit my brother at Cornell, I remember seeing a few cuties there. I hear that the best looking girls are at Univ. of Arizona.

Actually, all the campuses we visited & the school my son attends (USoCal) have very attractive students--male & female. Perhaps it's all in the eyes of the beholder?

Alexandre-

How can you put half of the schools in your 6-30 list above William & Mary? Do you realize that W&M is arguably the most selective public American university? Did you also know that its out-of-state applicant accept rate is 21%, the same as UPenn? I can't believe how this USN&WR stuff distorts objective statistics.

"Fun Fact: According to a survey on College *******, Cornell has the ugliest girls in the Ivy League. In fact, it ranks close to dead last in the country. So when students here get together for a "study session," they actually study."

Does any Ivy League or equivalent school have hot girls? No. Why? Because beauty doesn't need brains. There are 4 kinds of power: beauty, brains, brawn and "benjamins" (money). If you don't have beauty, you better work on the other three. Don't expect any beauty pageants in law school either!

Actually, I know many attractive males & females who are attorneys & doctors & in just about all fields & walks of life. Similarly, there are unattractive folks in many different professions & walks of life as well. There are indeed folks who appear to "have it all," brains, beauty/looks, brawn & $$$$; I haven't found them mutually exclusive. Sometimes when you get to know them, you find out they have the same problems & insecurities as the "regular world." In addition, some of the "beautiful folks" have added problems of figuring out which folks really care for them & which folks are just out to use them.

I think anyone with more than a college degree is trying to compensate for some sort of deficiency. I guess I'm in this category since I've got two master's degrees!
