<p>Stanford requires applicants to use a 9x12 envelope when sending in teacher/counselor recommendations.</p>

<p>Usually 2 stamps unless it is excessively heavy.</p>
<p>I put on 2 "forever" stamps, is that adequate?</p>
<p>i went to the post office yesterday and i put in 4 sheets of paper (to simulate recommendation letters) into the envelope and when they weighed it they said i just needed $1 in postage</p>
